Image released of man suspected of assault and blackmail in Margate

A computer-generated image of a man has been released by officers investigating a reported assault and blackmail in Margate.

At around 5.10pm on January 28 two men knocked on the door of a property in Vincent Farm Mews in Margate, and the victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted and suffered face injuries.

Money was then demanded from the victim and further threats of violence were made. The two men left empty-handed and did not return.

Officers have released an image of one of the men, who was described as white and of a medium build. He was clean-shaven, 5ft 6ins tall, and aged in his late 30s. He wore a cap over very short light hair, and a beige top.

The second man was described as white with a large build and aged in his early 30s. He had dark hair and was wearing grey jogging bottoms.
