Dane Court U18 girls came home the champs after winning the Kent Cup Final of the Jubilee Cup against The Archbishop School last week.
The team reached the final after winning football matches against Highworth Grammar School (2-0); Marsh Academy (2-1); Archbishop’s School (6-4); Farrington’s School (5-3) and Sevenoaks School (8-4).
And on Friday (April 26) they recorded a win of 7-5 to take the Jubilee Cup.
Dane Court head of PE Gemma Bolt said: “More than 200 tickets were sold to support the girls who played on Herne Bay FC grounds.
“It was an absolutely thrilling game for all to watch. Dane Court took the lead at first, but at one point it was 5-5, so very close.
“The Dane Court girls fought hard for every ball showing dedication and resilience and won the final 7-5.
“Our scorers on the evening were Summer with a hat-trick, Rebecca (2 goals), Eva (1 goal), Michaela (1 goal).
“We are all incredibly proud of the girls, every single one of the team worked astoundingly hard and they fully deserved their win. I would also like to praise the team for being fantastic role models for the school and in the promotion of girls’ sport as a whole.”
