The owner of a vape shop in Margate has released CCTV footage catching a burglar in the act at the store.

Freddie Wild, who has owned Vape and Juice in Margate High Street for two years, is appealing for people to contact either him or the police if they have any information about the break-in which took place at around 2:35am yesterday (December 27).

The culprit, who smashed the shop windows to gain entry, stole vape and CBD products with the main haul being vape kits made by Aspire and  Smok.

Freddie said: “We are looking at about £3,500 in damage and loss. A member of staff discovered it when they came into work yesterday morning.

“If anyone is offered these products or recognises the person in the video please get in touch with us or the police.”

Vape and Juice is open and trading as normal.

A Kent {Police spokesman said: “Kent Police received a report of a burglary at a business in Margate High Street on Thursday 27 December.

It is believed the break-in happened during the early hours of the morning.  Enquiries are ongoing to establish more details including what has been stolen.”
