Man arrested for drug offences in police raid on Cliftonville flat

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing following a police raid at a flat in Cliftonville.

Officers carried out a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the property in Athelstan Road yesterday (October 1).

They seized Class A and Class B drugs, drugs paraphernalia, mobile phones and cash. A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug. He has been released while enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Rebecca Mross said: “This warrant was the latest action in our ongoing fight to disrupt people who are involved in the use of illegal drugs in Thanet.
