Five fire engines attend ‘suspicious’ vehicle blaze at Nelson Park Riding Centre

A vehicle fire in the early hours of this morning (November 15)  at Nelson Park Riding Centre in Woodchurch is believed to have been started deliberately.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle alight at a riding centre in St Margarets Road, at 2.55am.

Five fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used compressed air foam to extinguish the flames, which had spread to a number of trailers and trees.

No injuries were reported.

A KFRS spokesperson said: “Members of KFRS’ Volunteer Response Team were on-hand to offer welfare and advice to anyone affected.

“The cause of the fire is believed to be suspicious.”
