A man is in a serious condition in a London hospital after he was stabbed in Margate last night {December 13}.
Police and paramedics were called to Cowper Road at 6.30pm to the reported assault.
A 32 year old man and a 45 year old woman have been arrested and remain in custody.
As part of the investigation police and forensic officers have been at Invicta House in Margate with a bloody stairwell at the ninth floor blocked off. Officers have also been making door to door enquiries at the block.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to Cowper Road in Margate shortly after 6.30pm following a report that a man had been assaulted.
“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition, after injuries consistent with stab wounds were reported.
“A 32 year old man and a 45 year old woman were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody while enquiries continue.
