Post Office Ltd is to re-open at 9 Summerfield Road, Cliftonville on Thursday, February 13 at 1pm.
The shop, where the Post Office was previously based, is under new ownership and is now a Premier convenience store. The owner now wants to reintroduce a Post Office.
Summerfield Road Post Office will be open seven days a week from 6am – 10pm. This is 112 hours of Post Office service a week, which is significantly longer than when the branch was open before.
Post Office services will be offered alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.
Samantha Coe, Post Office change manager, said: “We are delighted to be restoring Post Office service to the Summerfield Road area of Margate. We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
