People are invited to hang a bauble on a Christmas tree at Margate cemetery to remember lost loved ones.
The tree has been put in place by Thanet Crematorium and The Friends of Margate Cemetery. After Christmas the baubles will hang in the chapel throughout the year.
A message board next to the tree says: “We want you to love our tree and make it full of memories.”
A nice idea. But maybe a better word than “bauble” ( a cheap trinket)?
A bauble is something you normally decorate a Christmas tree with, and a symbol of love or a memory has nothing to do with cost, it could be an a piece of string.
