Margate man to face court charged with robberies, assaults and criminal damage

A Margate man will face court charged with robbery, assaults and criminal damage.

The charges relate to incidents on June 19.

David Loch, 28, of Clifton Street will appear in court charged with two robberies, one in Terrace Mews and the other in Margate High Street where cash was stolen. He has also been charged with attempted robbery following another incident in Margate High Street that day along with two assaults in Marine Drive and criminal damage.

Mr Loch has been remanded in custody and will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, July 22.

  1. I have never really understood why people are greedy and will go to lengths to get what isn’t theirs. It’s stealing,why steal? Hungry, poor, feeding a habit of alcohol or drugs. I like many in Thanet work hard to get things we need. Greed is how I look at this type of crime.
