Police appeal to identify ‘gaunt, big-nosed’ man after attempted fruit machine theft from Margate pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempt to steal a fruit machine during a burglary at Brewer’s Fayre in Margate.

The break in at the Station Road venue took place shortly after 4am on Tuesday (March 12).

The fruit machine had been removed from the bar and was found outside the building near the children’s play area.

Officers would like to identify a man seen in the area at the time.

He is described as white, aged between 39 and 44 years old and is 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall. He is described as having a gaunt face with defined cheekbones and a prominent nose.

He was wearing black trainers, a light-coloured jacket and a baseball cap.
