Police appeal after man is robbed by trio in Northdown Park

Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed while walking his dogs in Northdown Park.

The victim, in his 30s, was attacked by three men and his wallet containing cash and bank cards was reportedly stolen during the robbery at around 7.15pm yesterday (March 7).

The victim suffered injuries to his head and hand and attended hospital for treatment. His partner posted to social media to say the couple’s dog was also hit during the incident. She added that the men, who are believed to have had a knife, ran off after one was bitten by the dog.

Officers attended the area and enquiries are ongoing.
