
Elves, Santa, panto stars and singers entertained the crowd at the Ramsgate Christmas light switch-on event today (November 25).
Organised by Ramsgate Town Team and Ramsgate Town Council the event included Santa’s train, craft fair, elves from Looping The Loop theatre company and an inflatable helter skelter.
Entertainment came from the Paul Dryden roadshow, Off The Hook theatre school, Hotsy Totsy and the Kent Show Choir with Stagedoor Arts.
There were also performances from Make Me A Star winner Shane Turner, Dominique Simpson, Bradley Bisset, Frank Tucker, Robbie White and The Seaside Sisters and Emma Jane.
Other guests included Jacquie Walker-Kemp, mayor Trevor Shonk, host Ralph Hoult and cast members from the Granville’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves panto.

Actress Brenda Blethyn also popped by and took time out for pictures with the crowd.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will hi-ho their way to the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate from December 20 to January 2.
