
Police are investigating a suspected arson following a flat fire in Cliftonville tonight (March 23).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a small fire in a ground floor flat in Harold Road, at 7.44pm.
Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, put the fire out using a hose reel jet and then cleared the property of smoke using a high pressure fan. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and is being investigated by police.
