One person has been taken to hospital and the road closed following a crash on the A256 Sandwich Bypass.
Two vehicles crashed on the Ramsgate-bound carriageway at 6.30pm.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Officers are at the scene and a road closure is in place while the incident is dealt with. Secamb has taken one person to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.”
A diversion has been put in place. It is also possible to head off at the roundabout that takes motorists to Discovery Park and then comes back out further along the Bypass.
