Emergency services called to suspected domestic dispute ‘stabbing’ in Ramsgate

Emergency services were called to a suspected domestic dispute in Ramsgate this morning (December 27) after a car crashed through a fence and into a garden and two women suffered stab wounds.

Police and ambulance were called to Roman Road at around 6.30am.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 6.31am to a report of a disturbance at a private residential address in Roman Road, Ramsgate.

“Two women suffered injuries consistent with being assaulted with a knife during the incident but these injuries are not believed to be serious.

“Following the incident, the suspect is alleged to have left the location and returned a short time later in a car that collided with a nearby house.

“Officers attended and arrested a 29-year-old man, who has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Enquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing.”
