Organisers have confirmed the cancellation of this weekend’s beach cross event was due to a sudden illness and hospitalisation within the event management team.
The event was due to take place on Margate Sands today (March 4) and tomorrow. The annual quad bike event draws thousands of visitors and top competitors to the town.
The two day competition will now be rescheduled.
