A woman has been taken to hospital after a collision in Manston involving a van and a car.
Police were called to crash at the junction of Manston Road, close to the Spitfire museum, at 6.50am today (May 14).
The car driver had fled the scene and his woman passenger suffered an arm injury. Police say the driver was later found and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 6.50am on Thursday 14 May to a collision involving a van and a car in Manston Road, Ramsgate.
“Officers attended the scene where the driver of the car had left on foot before their arrival. A woman in the car reported an arm injury and has been taken to hospital for medical attention.
“The car driver has since been located and arrested on suspicion of drinking driving.”
Wrong ! the women was the passenger in the car with the drunk driver.
Hi, I’ve checked this twice with police and they say it was the van passenger but am happy to check again. Right, they gone back to the officer who was on the scene and the woman was in the car so that is now corrected.
