Fire crews have attended the scene of a field blaze in Manston.
Multiple engines were at the scene off Spitfire Way today (August 6) with firefighters attempting to bring the flames under control.
A Kent Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 10.41am to a field on fire off Spitfire Way, Manston.”
The B2050 Manston Road both ways from B2190 Spitfire Way to Woodchurch Road was closed.

At its height there were 10 engines at the scene.
As of 1pm two fire engines remained as crews dampened down hotspots.
The fire follows a similar blaze yesterday (August 5) in Ramsgate when crews were called to a field of standing corn alight in Newlands Road
Two fire engines attended that incident at 6.16pm and crews extinguished the flames.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not known.
