Ramsgate Costumed Walk – West Cliff

Join a guided walk around Historical Ramsgate and meet famous characters from the past…
The group is run by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers.
Whatever the weather, so long as members of the public turn up, they will carry on with the walks!
They don’t charge for the walks, and only ask for donations towards the cost of costumes, printing leaflets, etc.
West Cliff Walk
Meet at the West Cliff Lift, near Government Acre
This walk is of particular architectural interest, including The Grange & St. Augustine’s Church, designed by Augustus Pugin. His most famous work is the design of the interiors of the Palace of Westminster in London. You may be able to meet him personally.

Ramsgate Week
Seen as an alternative to Cowes Week, with a full programme of racing off the coast of Ramsgate
Ramsgate Week is hosted by the Royal Temple Yacht Club.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy refreshments and breathtaking views from Royal Temple Yacht Club. Take a break from all the action, or wander around the harbour and admire all the different vessels and crafts.
Competitors from France, Holland, Belgium and the UK will be taking part.
Look out too for afternoon and evening music performances.
Big Bug Hunt

Bug pot in hand and ID chart at the ready… search for some of the reserve’s smallest residents.
All that wiggles, creeps, scuttles, crawls and flutters can be closely observed and identified!
