UPDATE: Services are now running
There is currently disruption on train services between Ramsgate and Ashford International via Canterbury West due to urgent track repairs at Chilham.
Services may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
This is expected until noon today (June 25).
Southeastern says a rail defect has been detected in the Chilham area, so the line from Ramsgate towards Ashford is blocked. A repair is required to allow the line to reopen.
The line from Ashford towards Ramsgate remains open.
Trains from Ramsgate towards Ashford International via Canterbury West will be diverted via an alternative route where possible.
Trains from Ashford International towards Ramsgate can run normally.
Replacement buses have been requested and passengers can use tickets on Stagecoach Bus routes 1, 1A and 1X between Canterbury and Ashford at no extra charge.
