A Summer exhibition will launch at Ramsgate Arts Club this evening (June 25).
Rituals of Repair presents works by London-based mixed media artist Amelia Mullins.
Her practice embraces the language of play and the radical potential of innocence as a means of navigating the complexities of adulthood.
Drawing upon archetypes, deities and symbolic forms, Mullins reflects on feminine strength, fertility and the cyclical nature of existence. Vessels, flowers and organic forms emerge as emblems of holding and releasing, grief and renewal, death and rebirth.
The Royal College of Art graduate and tutor has previously had work published in Vogue and displayed alongside Grayson Perry at The Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
‘Rituals of Repair’ runs from today (June 25) until August 16 and can be viewed Thursday-Saturday, 7pm until late.
Private view is this evening from 6pm to 9pm. All welcome.
