Screen Prints by Gem Blastock at Westgate Galleria
Gem Blastock is a Broadstairs-based artist who specialises in pointillism, line-work illustration and screen printing. Gems of Thanet is a series of hand-printed artworks that celebrate the distinctive architecture and character of Thanet.
Each piece in the collection is a four-colour screen print, meticulously hand-printed on Gem’s own recycled handmade paper, combining her signature sustainable practice with bold, graphic design. The series showcases some of Thanet’s most iconic buildings and landmarks, emphasising the area’s unique charm through Gem’s nostalgic visual style.
Drawing inspiration from Thanet’s heritage architecture and its sense of place, Gem’s work invites viewers to see familiar structures in a new light, recognising them as enduring symbols of community, creativity, and local identity.
Gems of Thanet is part of an ongoing exploration of place and belonging, reflecting Gem’s deep passion for both the environment and the creative process.

Weaver and natural dyer Studio Mond (Josie Mond-James) is offering a quiet glimpse into the early stages of Pleroma.
Trained at the Royal College of Art, the practice is rooted in slow, meticulous making and a deep connection to the natural world.
The work-in-progress will feature material, structural, colour explorations and images of the beloved stretch of coastline that inspires them, inviting visitors to experience the tactile beginnings of an ambitious new work and follow the journey as it unfolds.

Drag it Up is a playful, provocative, and powerful weekend performance workshop led by queer Irish theatre artist and drag king Laura Wyatt O’Keeffe, aka Father JC. No drag, writing, or performance experience required.
This workshop is part of the Father JC’s Holy Show UK tour, and is your chance to dive into drag and storytelling while exploring themes of identity, community and sacred spaces – from dancefloors to Nan’s kitchen. Liminal Gallery group exhibition of ‘Liminal Salon III’

Liminal Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of ‘Liminal Salon iii’, an annual group exhibition bringing together 43 artists who have exhibited across two spaces – the Main Space and The Cupboard – over the past three years. This year’s Salon showcases an expanded roster of voices working across drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, limited edition prints, and embroidery.
Now in its third iteration, ‘Liminal Salon iii’ continues the gallery’s commitment to celebrating the breadth and vitality of contemporary practice. The exhibition presents established and emerging artists side by side, each contributing distinctive approaches to material, form, and narrative.
All are welcome to celebrate the opening of ‘Liminal Salon III’ on Saturday 15 November 5-8pm. The exhibition continues until 17 January 2026 and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays 11-4pm or outside of these times by appointment.

Blackout Tour

Experienced guides take you back to the dark days of November 1940, lit only with paraffin lamps
As the bitterly cold winter of 1940 set in, Ramsgate was a town in the grips of war, scarred by earlier air raids with a population hoping that it would all be over by Christmas.
Early in November the town suffered an air raid that knocked out the electricity and gas supply leaving the town in darkness. Air raids or air raid warnings continued everyday, up to six times a day throughout the month and the residents of Ramsgate grew restless as conditions in the town started to deteriorate.
Join Ramsgate Tunnels for a tour lit only with paraffin lamps, as the experienced guides take you back to the dark days of Winter 1940.
The tour lasts approximately 1 hr 30 mins.
Due to the restricted visibility on the tours and the paraffin lamps used the tour is unsuitable for children aged 12 and below and for those with mobility issues.
A safety briefing is given at the start of the tour.
Remember to wrap up warm, the Tunnels remain at a cool 11°C.
