A free firework display and entertainment will take place in Broadstairs tomorrow evening (November 5).
The event will take place at Viking Bay with music at the Bandstand starting from 5.30pm.
The display, by Viking Fireworks, is scheduled for 7pm.
Programme
5.30pm – music with Meister.
6pm-7pm – music with The SuperMicks
7pm – Fireworks from Viking Fireworks
7.15pm – The SuperMicks return for a closing set.
Stagecoach will be putting on extra services .
The following roads will be closed from 6pm:
End of Victoria Parade cornering Queens Gardens
Top of Wrotham Road
Top of John Street (and access through to Buckingham Road)
Middle of Oscar Road from Chandos Road
Access to Chandos Square Car Park will be available before 5pm and after 6.30pm.
Broadstairs and St Peter’s Mayor, Cllr Mike Garner, will be hosting a litter pick at 8am on 6th November, meeting at the bandstand. Anyone who would like to help is welcome to join him.
Well I hope the council is keeping the public toilets open for the evening, the local pubs won’t want people in just to spend a penny!
I remember what happened last year traffic queuing for miles , broadstairs bought to a complete standstill with fireworks at 7pm , let’s see how many buses get through broadstairs without being diverted due to illegal parking and severe traffic .
