Residents had to be evacuated from their Margate homes while emergency services attended to a kitchen fire last night (October 17).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of the kitchen fire at a flat in Cobbs Place at 9.17pm.
Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire.
Kent Police attended to assist the fire service.
No injuries were reported.
A KFRS spokesperson said: “The building was evacuated while crews ensured the scene was safe and residents were later able to return to their homes.
“The cause of the fire is not known.”
Crews finished at the scene at 11.56pm.
