A man has been taken to a London hospital suffering stab wounds following a reported assault in Ramsgate during the early hours of this morning (April 9).
Kent Police officers were called to a property in Boundary Road at 2.39am. Officers remain at the scene.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called following a report of an assault at a property in Boundary Road, Ramsgate at 2.39am on Wednesday 9 April 2025.
“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to a London hospital with injuries consistent with knife wounds, which are not believed to be life-threatening.”

I feel sorry for the ambulance crew having to drive at speed to London hospital at that time of day in 2025 Because a county the size of Kent doesn’t have its own serious trauma unit. When I worked at kent hospitals in the 80s 90s and 200s, we dealt with most cases that were brought into us, it doesn’t seem like that now.
The extra risks to the trauma getting worse by travelling to London, the extra maintenance, fuel costs and travelling risks on the ambulance by the long journey at speed plus the hours that at least two highly trained paramedics are tied up for all this time are totally unacceptable when the required treatment was once available on our own doorstep..
