Kent Fire & Rescue Service is advising people to avoid Margate Road at the junction with Coleman Crescent following a crash this evening (March 14).
Two fire engines are at the scene after alongside Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) after emergency services were called to a collision between a car and a van at 6.42pm.
A Kent Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews are advising people living or travelling near Margate Road at the junction of Coleman Crescent in Ramsgate to avoid the area as crews are responding to a crash between a car and a van.
“Two fire engines are currently in attendance and crews are working with SECamb paramedics and Kent Police.”
Stagecoach is currently diverting Loop buses due to the crash.
The company says: “Due to an RTC outside Summerhill Surgery on Margate Road, Ramsgate, the loops will be diverting via Whitehall Road and Allenby Road until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
Update 8pm
Margate Road at the junction of Coleman Crescent in Ramsgate is back open and crews are no longer advising people to avoid the area.
Two fire engines attended the scene and assisted Kent Police to make the scene safe.
SECamb paramedics were also in attendance.
