St Laurence CE Junior Academy’s Year 4 pupils have been treated to an experience at Revolution Skatepark and Climbing Centre, thanks to a generous grant from the Social Enterprise Boost Fund.
The funding allowed Revolution to offer hundreds of skateboarding, scooter and climbing sessions to schools and the wider community, with a particular focus on supporting those affected by the rising cost of living.
The initiative aimed to make sports accessible to children who may have missed out on such activities due to financial barriers.
The trip was organised by Mrs Mountjoy, who accompanied the children and praised both their conduct and the overall experience.
She said: “It was an absolute joy to take our Year 4 pupils to Revolution Skatepark and Climbing Centre.
“The children behaved beautifully, showing great enthusiasm, perseverance, and teamwork throughout the sessions. It was fantastic to see them gain confidence and try something new in such a supportive environment.
“A huge thank you to Dan and Bailey at Revolution for organising and leading the sessions – they were brilliant!”
