An evening digging deep into the theme of Extinct at Marine Studios.
The activities and discussion will be around the re-introduction of species to our countryside and re-wilding of the land. What are the implications of bringing a plant or animal back, how does it fit into the eco-system and what are the knock-on effects? Examples under discussion are the pine martin, chuff and beaver.
This event is FREE and, as always, a welcoming, engaging and encouraging atmosphere.

Angry Boater Live in Ramsgate

Asda’s Roll(er) Back Disco
7th and 8th February, Roller Room at Dreamland
To celebrate the return of its Rollback promotion, Asda opens the doors to the first ever supermarket-themed roller disco at Dreamland, Margate.
February 7th 1:30pm – 6:30pm Skate sessions available from 2pm – 5:45pm
February 8th 10am – 4:15pm Skate sessions available from 10:30am – 3:30pm
The free event will see skaters take to the rink and fill baskets with products in a supermarket sweep style event, where our roller rink will be transformed to resemble an Asda supermarket.
During each 45-minute session, skaters will be provided with roller skates, a shopping basket and a shopping list filled with Rollback items and be challenged to fill their baskets, ticking off their shopping list as they skate around the rink.
Guests will have the chance to win hundreds of pounds worth of Asda vouchers, whilst some lucky shoppers will skate away with goody bags packed full of Asda treats. Once the skates come off and prizes are claimed, free refreshments will be available.
With a DJ providing the soundtrack, Asda’s Roll(er)back Disco promises to be a one-of-a-kind disco party not to be missed.
The Roll(er)back Disco is open to skaters aged 6 and above. Skaters 15 and under must be accompanied by a responsible guardian 16 years or older. Book now
If Heaven Falls

All are invited to the opening drink reception for The Lido Stores’ fourth annual Alternative Valentines exhibition, ‘If Heaven Falls.’
More than 700 submissions were received during the two-week open call window, from which gallery owner-curator Kristen Healy has selected some 115 artworks that contemplate the themes of love, lust and romance in all their complexity.
The exhibition, comprising painting, print, collage, sculpture and other mixed media, will occupy two thirds of The Lido Stores’ Gallery 1 and the entirety of Gallery 2 for 4 weeks.

Supporting the local community an local small businesses of Thanet. There will be hot and cold food vendors outside and a wonderful mixture of stalls at this new market.
Re-opening of Christ Church services
February 9, 3pm, Christ Church, Vale Square, Ramsgate
In August 2023, there were meetings to discuss the closure of Christ Church, in Vale Square, due to a decreasing congregation.
Services halted but the Diocese of Canterbury says services will now resume.
The first service on February 9 will include refreshments. Attendees are advised to wear warm clothing.
