Friends of a Ramsgate man who lost his life in a car accident in 2022 have organised a memorial football match to take place on January 10.
The annual fundraising game is in memory of Jordan Peace who was just 27 when he was involved in the crash in the Bahamas. The former Dane Court student had been living and working as a quantity surveyor in the island country.
Jordan, who was a huge Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, would have celebrated his 30th birthday this year.
The memorial match will be raising funds for the Viking Day Unit at QEQM Hospital.
Friend Courtney-Jayne Strevens said: “Jordan had a close relationship with his younger brother Nathan and mum and dad, Sarah and Andy. This year Sarah and Andy asked me to choose the charity, we do a different charity each year.
“I chose the Viking Day Unit as they are a continuous support for my mum in law, along with so many other local people they support within Thanet.
“Jordan was well known, with so many friends who loved him.”
The match will be between Crampton FC Broadstairs and Lanthorne FC at Margate FC’s Hartsdown Park on January 10.
Kick off is 8.15pm. Tickets are £5 on the gate.
