Two people have been charged in connection with a stabbing in Margate on Friday 13 December.
Emergency services were called to the Cowper Road area shortly after 6.30pm following a report that a man had been assaulted and had suffered stab wounds.
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Shortly afterwards, a man and woman, believed to be known to the victim, were arrested nearby in connection with the incident.
As part of the investigation police and forensic officers were at Invicta House in Margate with a bloody stairwell at the ninth floor blocked off.
On Saturday 14 December, officers charged Leigh Moxam, 22, with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article in a public place, assault on an emergency worker and criminal damage.
Donna Green, 44, was charged on the same day with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Mr Moxam, of Railway Road, Newhaven in East Sussex, and Ms Green, of no fixed address, were remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court today {December 16}.
Anyone with information relevant to the ongoing investigation, including CCTV and doorbell footage – who has not yet spoken to police – is urged to come forward.
