Father Christmas will be taking to Ramsgate harbour for a festive tour not once but twice this month.
First he will try out some kayaking with the 6th Ramsgate Sea Scouts on Friday, December 20.
Visitors are invited to toast some marshmallows with the elves at the harbour from 5pm before Santa sets out on the water at 6pm.
Then, on Monday, December 23 at around 6pm Father Christmas will be back at Ramsgate and will be taken by Ramsgate RNLI on a boat tour of the harbour to see all the beautiful lit up boats and waving to everyone as he goes by.

I believe the Ramsgate illuminations is a fund raiser for the RNLI not as could be interpreted cash for fairy lights.
