The choir at Birchington CE Primary School took some time out this week to visit not one, not two, but three residential homes in the community to bring everyone some festive cheer.
They visited St Michaels, Grenham Bay and Highfields to join in their Christmas parties. Not only did they sing a range of Christmas carols beautifully, which brought a tear to the eye, but they also got the chance to play games together and enjoy some party food.
It was all topped off with a special early visit from Father Christmas who had a gift for each of the children but not before checking with the Christmas Elves that they weren’t on that naughty list!
Music and Choir Lead at Birchington Primary, Rebecca Caie, said: “This was such a wonderful opportunity that just couldn’t be missed. Our children at Birchington love working within the local community and with its residents.
“It was really heart-warming to see two generations come together to enjoy this special time.”
