Thanet Wanderers Rugby Club’s SEND team made the most of the half-term break with a fantastic social event held at Jump Inc.
The outing provided a perfect opportunity for the children to continue building friendships in a supportive and inclusive setting, while parents had the chance to connect and share experiences.
Jump Inc, known for its family-friendly atmosphere, went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of the SEND team. The venue made thoughtful adjustments by turning down the music and increasing the lighting, ensuring a comfortable environment for all attendees.
Sarah Mountjoy, a mother of two boys who play for the SEND team, said: “Jump Inc was amazing! The adjustments they made helped create a calm and enjoyable space for the kids. My boys had a blast, and it was so heart-warming to see them having fun with their friends.
“The SEND team at Thanet Wanderers continues to be a fantastic support network for both the children and us parents.”
Thanet Wanderers is the only rugby club in the area with a dedicated SEND team, offering a welcoming environment for children with special educational needs and disabilities. The team trains every Sunday morning at 9:30am at St Peter’s Recreation Ground, and newcomers are always welcome.
