Train operator Southeastern will be adding a schedule of late night trains running from Margate from June – September on Friday and Saturday nights as part of their Summer timetable plan.

Dreamland in Margate and Southeastern has worked together to develop the plan which will allow concert goers at the venue to enjoy the line-up of acts booked throughout the summer from start to finish.

The later train tickets will go on sale at least a month in advance of each event, available from the Southeastern website or app. No booking fees apply when purchased directly from the train operator.

Eddie Kemsley, CEO of Dreamland, said: “I am so thrilled that Southeastern is providing this amazing service not only for ticket holders at Dreamland’s summer gigs, but the whole night time industry of Margate.

“The additional late night services from Margate will ensure that members of the public can enjoy all that Margate and Dreamland have to offer to the full.”

Scott Brightwell, Operations & Safety Director at Southeastern, said:  “As part of our efforts to build a better, more reliable and sustainable railway, we keep our timetable under constant review. This includes analysis of customer journeys as well as detailed feedback from our partners and stakeholders.

“In December, we introduced 100 extra services per week and our next timetable update in June improves the time between trains at many of our stations and targets additional capacity to our busiest services and routes as much as possible.

“The update also includes a number of additional late night trains to support leisure and tourist attractions, including Dreamland. We are delighted to provide these additional services to the Medway Towns, Canterbury and Dover and we hope they will make it even easier for everyone to travel to Dreamland and enjoy their excellent line up this summer.”
