Woman taken to hospital following crash at Seamark Road

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash this morning (January 20) in Birchington.

The collision involving one vehicle happened at around 7.30am at the junction of Seamark Road and Plumstone Road between Monkton Nature Reserve and Thanet Earth.

The Kent air ambulance was called but is understood not to have been needed.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a one-vehicle collision at the junction of Seamark Road and Plumstone Road near Monkton shortly after 7.30am.

“Emergency services attended and a woman was taken to a local hospital.”

A spokesperson for the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex said: “A helicopter from Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) was dispatched to Birchington on 19 January.

“Our crew arrived on scene at 08:43 where they worked with SECAmb, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service to help treat the patient, involved in a road traffic collision. The patient was then transported to hospital by road.”
