
It is nearly time for the annual Broadstairs Water Gala which takes place on August 2.
Enjoy everything from the Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Lillyputt Mini Golf, paddleboard lessons, Seashore Safaris, Punch & Judy, King Neptune’s arrival, decorated beach huts, sandcastle competitions, RNLI, beach sports activities, sea shanties, storytelling and lots more.
There will be a full programme at the Bandstand with singers, character actors, circus skills, performing arts and theatre.
The fun fair will be on Victoria Gardens from 10am until late and there will be a variety of local craft and gift stalls along the Prom.
In the evening there will be live music on the Bandstand at 8pm from Top Gun and a firework display at 9.45pm – weather permitting.

9.30am register at Kent Surf School for morning paddle board lessons (10 years+ and able to swim minimal of 25 meters)
Bandstand activities – circus skills and workshop sessions, local stage schools performances, live music throughout the day, Princess and Pirates ‘Jack Sparrow’ lookalike
Beach activities – Punch and Judy, Total Sport Coaching, Water Safety sessions with Kent Surf School, King Neptune arrives on the sea, RNLi lifeboats moored at the jetty (subject to operations), storytelling, Sandcastle/sculpture competitions, Victorian beach party, Shipwrights Sea Shanty crew, decorated beach hut competition, Thanet Coast Project Shoreline Scavenger Hunts
Live music on the bandstand at 8pm featuring Top Guns followed by firework display at 9.45pm (subject to weather conditions).
