Police called to report of criminal damage ‘in progress’ at home in Ramsgate

Police attended Prestedge Avenue and West Dumpton Lane

Police patrols are making enquiries in Prestedge Avenue and West Dumpton Lane following a report of criminal damage at a home in the area.

Officers were called out at around 1.40pm and are still at the scene. An ambulance is also in attendance.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police is attending Prestedge Avenue (and West Dumpton Lane) in Ramsgate following a report of criminal damage in progress at a private address.

“Officers were called to the scene at around 1.40pm. Patrols are currently making enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident.”

    • It’s also Ramsgate Carnival this w/e, and last night’s fireworks at Broadstairs were cancelled.

      • The fireworks were cancelled because of the weather,Phyllis.I do not know if you were aware,but it was p…ing down,from about 7p.m.,until early in the morning
