Woman in care of health professionals following welfare concern call to Margate main sands

A woman is in the care of health professionals following a welfare concern report in Margate today (December 23).

Police, paramedics, Coastguard and Margate RNLI were called to Margate main sands after a report of a distressed woman in the sea.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called following concern for a woman near Marine Terrace, Margate at 12.40pm.

“Officers attended along with the RNLI and South East Coast Ambulance Service. The woman was located and has been placed into the care of healthcare professionals.”
