Fire crews are at the scene of a field blaze in Birchington this evening (August 6).
Four appliances have attended the incident at Brooksend, thought to be in the area of Netherhale Farm. An all terrain buggy has also been used.
It is understood the field contains a crop of wheat.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The call was received at 6.55pm, four fire engines and an all-terrain vehicle were deployed to deal with approximately 900 sq m of crop stubble alight (an area roughly 30m x 30m).
“Operations were complete at 7.43pm. There are no reports of any injuries and the cause has not been established.”
Fire today, fire yesterday, both on farmland? Is there a pattern here?
