Appeal for witnesses and dashcam following lorry and car crash on A299 at Hengist Way

Witnesses to a crash between a car and a lorry on the A299 between Minster/Manston and Ramsgate are being urged by police to come forward.

A grey Renault Scenic and a lorry were involved in the collision on the Hengist Way carriageway leading away from the Cliffsend roundabout towards Minster at around 8.15am on Thursday, November 28.

All three occupants of the car reported injuries, with a man and a woman taken a local hospital and second woman taken to a London hospital.

The driver of the lorry, a 56-year-old man from Canterbury, was arrested in connection with the collision, and has since been released pending further enquiries

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand.

They are also appealing for anyone who was travelling along that road between 8am and 8.20am on 28 November and has dashcam footage which might assist the investigation.
