
A man in his 20s has suffered head injuries after being hit with a wooden plank and metal pole.
Kent Police was called at 12.04am today (November 17) to a report of a disturbance involving a number of people in Northdown Road, near the junction with Ethelbert Road, in Cliftonville.
Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital with injuries to his head. His condition is not believed to be serious.
A wooden plank and metal pole were seized from the scene.

There is Council CCTV cameras on a post opposite this very junction so good footage should have been captured for use in prosecution.
Where are the promised extra police officers for Margate and Cliftonville though? They need to be seen on the street where they are needed to deal with these issues of thuggish behaviour which is on the increase here!
