St Laurence in Thanet Junior Academy in Ramsgate has been nominated for and awarded membership of Music Mark.
The accolade is in recognition of the school’s commitment to providing high quality music education for all children. The school was nominated by Kent Music due to its use of music education as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.
Music Mark works to enable members, and the wider music education sector, to continue to deliver high-quality musical and social outcomes for all children and young people.
Being part of the Music Mark organisation gives access to a wealth of benefits as well as an extensive library of resources to help enrich the music curriculum even further.
Music specialist at St. Laurence, Mrs Keen, said: “I am delighted to have received this recognition of all the pupils’ wonderful achievements in music so far, and am looking forward to reaping the benefits of our Music Mark status in the future.”
