Police cordon off part of Coleman Crescent in response to ‘welfare concern’ report

Police have cordoned off part of Coleman Crescent in Ramsgate today (September 23)

Officers are currently at a property in the road. Residents say people are not being allowed beyond the cordon.

Some four police cars are at the scene.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 10.49am  to a report of concern for a man at a property in Coleman Crescent, Ramsgate.

“The road has been closed while officers are currently attending the scene.”

UPDATE 3.40pm: Ambulance crews have now left the scene. Police presence has increased.

UPDATE 5pm: Officers are no longer at the scene. A man was arrested on suspicion of threats to commit criminal damage. He remains in police custody.
