Cause of Cliftonville fire to be investigated

Fire crews were called to Cliftonville this morning

An investigation is being carried out into the cause of a blaze in Cliftonville today (July 13).

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Northdown Road/Clifton Walk at 10:42am to reports of a fire in a three storey property. Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire on the ground floor with two hose reel jets and water from a hydrant.

There were no reported injuries and crews finished at the scene at 11.58am.

A KFRS spokesman said: “The cause is being investigated.”

Kent Police officers are in attendance to deal with any traffic control measures which may be required.
