Monopoly mania comes to Dreamland

Monopoly fun at Dreamland

Monopoly mania is spreading across Dreamland with a day of the boardgame-related mischief at the park on Saturday, June 1.

A new Margate edition of the famous board game was released last month, with Dreamland appearing in the coveted Mayfair spot. To celebrate, Dreamland is hosting a day of activities and challenges at the park for competitive (and non-competitive) families to enjoy.

Activities on the day will include races around a giant Monopoly board, chances to win spot prizes related to the game’s challenges, flip the board contests, a scavenger hunt and a Community Chest project to help a local charity.

Guests of all ages can enter the park for free to take part in challenges, and can pay per ride if they wish (or buy discounted unlimited ride wristbands in advance online).

This is the latest family event launched by Dreamland in 2019, and follows the park’s Camp Bestival takeover during the Easter Holidays. A huge Camp Bestival party planned for Easter Sunday (April 21) with music from Rob da Bank, The Cuban Brothers, and more, plus yoga, gong baths and arts and crafts.

Dreamland also has a packed programme of music events planned for the rest of the spring and summer, including Happy Mondays, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Normal Jay MBE, Annie Mac and Mac DeMarco, with more events to be announced soon.
