Pilgrims Hospice Thanet will hold a Trees of Love service this month

Dedications can be made now

Pilgrims Hospices is now welcoming dedications for its annual Trees of Love remembrance services.

The service with carols takes place in Thanet on December 9. Beautiful festive trees bearing people’s dedications will be illuminated on the night and stay lit for the festive season.

Cate Russell, Pilgrims Chief Executive, said: “Trees of Love provides a special and personal way to remember those dear to us over Christmas. Anyone is welcomed at the services to celebrate the lives of special loved ones with heart-warming songs.”

Sara Scriven, Individual Giving Manager for Pilgrims Hospices, said: “This can be a very sensitive time of the year for people who have lost a loved one.  We hope by joining our remembrance services with carols and dedicating a dove, families can take some comfort for themselves and know that they are also helping us to continue to care for others.”

The service at Thanet’s hospice takes place on December 9 at 5pm.

These are outside standing events so wrap up warm and bring a torch. Refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies will be available.

A dedication of £30 could help Pilgrims to offer a specially prepared festive dinner to a patient and their loved one spending Christmas day on one of its wards.
