Margate poet releases collection inspired by doomed love

Penny Tigerlily Lane

A Margate poet has released her first collection of poetry, titled Nefelibata (Portuguese for cloud-walker) through Thanet-based publisher Whisky & Beards Publishing.

Penny Tigerlily Lane, who is the host of Thanet’s Dead Island Poetry Society, reflects on doomed love, the idea of forgiving an ex-partner and the realisation that some people never change.

With a talent for words, the 25-year old firebrand has had audiences hooked for the past five years at events around the South East.

Lane’s raw, honest and sometimes charmingly abrasive writing is in full force alongside a glossary of the subtle emotions that inspired the pieces. The collection aims to reminds us that love can hurt and you deserve better.

Penny Tigerlily Lane has already begun a new touring schedule for the book’s promotion, including shows in Essex and London. She is available for bookings via [email protected].

Nefelibata is available through Amazon.co.uk and selected bookstores.
