DJ Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, and singer Suggs from huge 70s and 80s Ska band Madness will be on Margate seafront in a retro Dreamland ice cream van today (January 20) giving away 100 tickets for a huge new festival at the park this Summer.
The pair are in town for the announcement of the two day Hi Tide festival which will have a massive 15,000 audience capacity and comes from the creators of the sell-out Demon Dayz Gorillaz gig in 2017.
Fatboy Slim and Madness headline the festival at Dreamland Margate July 4-5. It is being staged in association with Fifty Six Group.
As a highlight of Dreamland Margate’s 100th birthday celebrations, the event will see DJ Fatboy Slim bring his full stage extravaganza, plus supporting acts, to the park on July 4.
On July 5 purveyors of quality music since 1979, the legendary Madness, will bring the festival to a close with a full supporting bill.
Suggs and Fat Boy Slim will personally give away 100 weekend tickets and then will sell day tickets on a first come first served basis from the van between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
Tickets go on sale publicly at 9am on Friday, January 31.
