Pie Factory Margate to host ‘I’ve Been Going Through Something’ by Adam Lucy

Adam Lucy's solo exhibition will be held at Pie Factory Margate

Nine new large scale works will be displayed by artist and poet Adam Lucy as part of an exhibition at Pie Factory Gallery Margate this May.

The works, alongside archival items and found imagery, form new solo show ‘I’ve Been Going Through Something.’

From ongoing series ‘All My Memories Are Photographs’ the nine  brightly coloured large scale acrylic works explore the fragility of remembrance, taking the viewer on a journey through memory and a quiet poignant grief.

The artist uses found photography to create colourful compositions in which he merges his own autobiographical history into the moments of others. Bright and vibrant skies and an intense colour palette combine with Adams direct exploration of grief through art.

Adam is a self-taught contemporary artist working and living between London and Margate where he has a studio space in the artists community Resort at Dreamland. He has had multiple group exhibitions in London and Edinburgh and shown work in combination with artists groups in Turin.

‘I’ve Been Going Through Something’ will open on Thursday 2nd May and run to Tuesday 7th May, 11am to 5pm each day.

Entry is free for all and all ages are welcome.
