Social Enterprise Kent is exploring the possibility of setting up multiple services on the first floor of Thanet Health Hub.
The aim is to provide wrap around support for residents and bring together clinical and non-clinical health support.
The £10m health hub in Broadstairs, which opened in Summer 2025, is led by the East Kent Health and Care Partnership (EKHCP), and operates a number of services under one roof, with a community diagnostic centre, GP services provided by St Peter’s Surgery and community services, including community nursing, podiatry, cardiac, children’s therapy and respiratory teams.
Now there is an opportunity to base community support and prevention services on the first floor of the building, which is leased from Nelson College.
Social Enterprise Kent is undertaking a feasibility study on behalf of Thanet council and Kent & Medway ICB , exploring the possibility of setting up the multi-sector hub to provide wrap around support for residents.
A survey is currently running asking residents what services they would like to see at the hub. These include community wellbeing activities. mental health support, rehab, benefits advice, skills and training, community café, youth services, peer support groups and more.

Agreed. Integrated transport planning means thinking about public transport and active travel at an early stage. But in Thanet’s la la land,they only think about parking and how people might get there in a car.
